Rashmi Chandra, PhD, PMP – Candidate for Vice President of Marketing

Rashmi Chandra, PhD, has been an active member of PMI since 2020 and currently serves as the Director of Communications for NCPMI. Her journey with the chapter began in 2021 as the Monthly Newsletter Editor, which led to her current role as Director of Communications in 2022.

Rashmi brings a strategic and visionary approach to communications and marketing, with a proven track record of delivering impactful results. She collaborated to update the chapter’s newsletter and developed comprehensive process flows and transition manuals to ensure continuity and operational excellence. With the upcoming realignment of Communications under the Marketing pillar, Rashmi is uniquely positioned to step into the Vice President of Marketing role and lead the chapter’s integrated marketing and public relations efforts.

Professionally, Rashmi has managed program portfolio exceeding $100 million, demonstrating her ability to lead complex initiatives and align execution with strategic goals. She is proficient with digital marketing tools and understands marketing strategy, planning, and delivery. Her leadership style emphasizes collaboration, member engagement, and brand promotion—core to the mission of NCPMI.

Beyond her professional and chapter contributions, Rashmi is a lifelong volunteer committed to community service. She has volunteered with Duke Hospice, continues to support a children’s grief camp, and has held leadership roles including Treasurer and President of the North Carolina Regulatory Affairs Forum (NCRAF).

Rashmi is passionate about advancing NCPMI’s visibility and value to its members. As Vice President of Marketing, she looks forward to continuing her service by executing innovative outreach strategies, strengthening community partnerships, and elevating the NCPMI brand across the region.
