Chris spoke to NC Project Leaders Toastmasters on February 27^th regarding Harnessing Adversity and was such a hit that members asked for him to return for Part 2.

I started focusing on improv comedy because I realized how accessible it really is. We don't need special equipment, just great communication skills. You don't need to be hilarious, just open minded. Improv is the great equalizer because when you learn how to improvise, you can bring charisma and in-the-moment communication into any social situation. On top of all that, it's funny! When leaders learn improv, they add a necessary skill to their toolbelt. 

Learning objectives:

• To harness adversity, people need to first practice resilience by developing a positive mindset and the ability to bounce back from challenges.
• Second, it's important to seek support from friends, family, or a therapist to help navigate difficult situations.
• And finally, focusing on personal growth and learning from setbacks can help individuals turn adversity into opportunities for self-improvement.
