DESCRIPTION:ABSTRACT:
 Geoff joins NCPMI to expand chapter awareness of Em
 otional Intelligence into new territory\, which his lab calls “Personal 
 Intelligence”. He will share helpful findings from his research with pro
 ject practitioners from all over the world and introduce you to a new way 
 of looking at the personal competencies you use every day. Attendees will 
 come away with a deeper appreciation of the human elements of a PMO\, as w
 ell as important tools with which to steer them. If you have ever struggle
 d to convince stakeholders why they need you or fought to pull different b
 usiness units together to work towards a common goal\, you won’t want to
  miss this presentation.
 Participants will learn the following:
 1) How
  to define\, describe and identify key Personal Intelligence dimensions.2)
  How to apply Personal Intelligence to a project management framework.3) H
 ow to leverage key Personal Intelligence dimensions to influence others.

 BIO:
 
 A. Geoffrey 
 “Geoff” Crane is a psychologist and the founder of Adaptimist Insights
 \, the worldwide exclusive provider of the&nbsp\;Multidimensional Inventor
 y for Personal Intelligence™ (MIPI). Geoff began his career in the late 
 1980s in the information technology field\, quickly moving into the invest
 ment banking sector where he flourished for many years.
 In 2009\, a layo
 ff at the peak of the global financial crisis forced Geoff to reconsider h
 is career options. Fascinated by the human aspects of his work to that poi
 nt\, he returned to school to earn an undergraduate degree in Psychology a
 nd a Master’s degree in Applied Modelling and Quantitative Methods that 
 focuses on emotional intelligence and statistical modelling.
 At the time
  of this publication\, Geoff is currently working on his PhD in Interdisic
 iplinary Social Research. The MIPI is his full-time focus.
