SUMMARY:Communications and Public Speaking - The Collaboration Dilemma
DESCRIPTION:Title: The Collaboration Dilemma&nbsp\;
 Outline:&nbsp\;

 Simply working together is not Collaboration
 The Process: it is not a de
 stination
 The three essentials of successful collaboration in today’s
 world.
 o Mindset: Facilitate the proper thought process for collaboratio
 n&nbsp\;
 o Data: Gather and share all relevant information
 o Technolog
 y: Maximizing the effective use of technology

 Abstract:&nbsp\;
 Coll
 aboration is not simply working on a team. Collaboration is not simply a g
 roup of people put in a room and needs to produce ideas. To collaborate is
  not to simply log into an application with other people and follow the pr
 ompts. Successful collaboration has a structure of loose rules and expecta
 tions from those participating in this collaboration. &nbsp\;
 This talk
 will look at the basic structure of successful collaborations. It will loo
 k at some pre-described mindsets that need to go into the beginning of the
 &nbsp\;collaborative effort. We will look at the data&nbsp\;needed to coll
 aborate and seek the completeness and truthfulness of that information. We
  will look at collaboration in 2023 with all the technical possibilities t
 hat are at our disposal\; we will look at the positives and the negatives
 of both colocation and remote collaboration\, and finally\, we will put it
  together and we will look at how you can be a better collaborator with yo
 ur team even when you are not in charge and how you can lead a team to col
 laborate to practical ends and make your company a better environment and
 a more successful contributing factor.&nbsp\;
 Learning Objectives:&nbsp\
 ;

 To understand the essence of successful collaborations
 To gather
 tools needed as a collaborator
 To understand how to facilitate collabora
 tion
 To challenge oneself to use technology to enhance collaborations&nb
