SUMMARY:Communications and Public Speaking CoP: Harnessing Adversity- Part
  2
DESCRIPTION:Chris spoke to NC Project Leaders Toastmasters on February 27th
&nbsp\;regarding Harnessing Adversity and was such a hit that members aske
d for him to return for Part 2.
I started focusing on improv comedy beca
use I realized how accessible it really is. We don't need special equipmen
t\, just great communication skills. You don't need to be hilarious\, just
open minded. Improv is the great equalizer because when you learn how to
improvise\, you can bring charisma and in-the-moment communication into an
y social situation. On top of all that\, it's funny! When leaders learn im
 prov\, they add a necessary skill to their toolbelt.&nbsp\;
 Learning obj
 ectives:

To harness adversity\, people need to first practice resilie
nce by developing a positive mindset and the ability to bounce back from c
 hallenges.
Second\, it's important to seek support from friends\, family
\, or a therapist to help navigate difficult situations.
 And finally\, f
ocusing on personal growth and learning from setbacks can help individuals
turn adversity into opportunities for self-improvement.
